Changed the question to be question of the week, a new question every Sunday, which is on my three poems of the week!
What's your favorite poetry-blog?
This is a piece I wrote this winter, as I had gotten sick and tired of the long nights, and short days us Danish get during the winter, and then I wanted to do a take on how it would be living further up north, where it is night half year at a time, and day another half year. This is also a take on depression at the same time, where as night is all the bad and negative feelings, and day is joy and the happy feelings. Excuses for any facts I've gotten wrong, as I haven't done any proper research while I wrote this, I just let my feelings run out in a stream of words. Enjoy!
"Dark polar nights"
Light brings me realization and hope
making me see thing clearer
in different perspectives
Hoping that the night would never come to me
but the ocean eat the sun for an autumn snack
as I watch everything fall apart
Hoping that the stars and the moon will
give me temporarily light to see things
that matter,
instead of focusing on dwelling predators
stuck in dark bushes.
I wait for the sun to kiss my bare forehead again
to witness the morning dew die
in it's almighty glow
I wait here patiently.
Hoping not to get caught up
in the
Dark polar nights.
